The SBAC 2006-2009 Business Plan identifies three major campaign priorities and one key underpinning work programme element in the Civil Air Transport area. These are Sustainable Aviation, State Aids, European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD).

The Civil Air Transport Board was formed in 2005 to address the major concerns of member companies operating in civil air transport market leads for the society in these areas it is supported by the following communities:
