9th Annual Anniversary Event

This event held in June 2008 was a huge success with the participation of many companies as for the first time we welcomed non SBAC Toulouse members.
The presence of Sir Peter WestMacott, British Ambassador in Paris together with Mr Ian Godden, SBAC Chief Executive supported by Senior Representatives of UK Aerospace Companies encouraged the attendance of Senior Representatives from Airbus and other major players from the area as well as local dignitaries including Monsieur le Prefet and Monsieur le Maire de Blagnac. In addition to the excellent networking the guests enjoyed the private Horse Racing and the "Cocktail Dinatoire".

The challenge is to raise the bar to celebrate our 10th Anniversary which will take place in September 2009.

Working Breakfast 2008

According to the now established tradition several events took place in 2008.

These included:
- Newly appointed Airbus EVP Procurement Klaus Richter
- Airbus EVP Programme Tom Williams
- A320 Family update - Stuart Mann, VP Marketing A320
- A350 update - Philippe Brie, Head of A350 Procurement

SBAC Toulouse gets A350 XWB update

the members of the Toulouse Bureau were privileged to receive a presentation given by the newly appointed < Head of the A350XWB project > Didier Evrard, accompanied by members of his team; this is the third such presentation given to SBAC Toulouse members in the last 18 months and was very much appreciated by all concerned. This is in keeping with the Bureau policy to invite high profile presentations from Airbus and major sub contracts.

Eurocopter working lunch - 6 June 2006

SBAC Toulouse organised a working lunch on 6 June 2006 with EUROCOPTER. Due to the company's location, the lunch took place in the Novotel Vitrolles, Marseilles . The six SBAC members who participated in this event were welcomed by Eurocopter's Procurement Executive Vice-President and the Vice President ECG Systems Procurement. An informal discussion followed, which covered Eurocopter's new organisation, procurement policy , relationship with suppliers as well as more specific questions concerning programmes. This was the first time a working lunch had been organised with a major local aerospace player other than Airbus and the experience proved to be a success for SBAC's members.
