Singapore Airshow 2010 - UK Pavilion Press Pack

UNDER EMBARGO UNTIL: 00.01 (SST) 02 FEBRUARY 2010

Continuing the tradition begun by the Society of British Aerospace Companies, A|D|S, the new UK trade organisation advancing the aerospace, defence and security industries, will be running the UK pavilion, consisting of 17 companies, 2 regional trade organisations and 2 universities.

A|D|S was formed on 1 October 2009 and is the result of a merger of the Association of Police and Public Security Suppliers (APPSS), the Defence Manufacturers Association (DMA) and the Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC). Both the DMA and SBAC have had strong ties with the region, with the SBAC always featuring with a strong presence of UK companies at the Singapore Airshow, and this year can be visited on Stand N66.

Atlantic Inertial Systems

Atlantic Inertial Systems (AIS) has commenced the upgrade of the TERPROMR Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS) for Eurofighter Typhoon. This will add air-to-surface targeting information to the existing TERPROMR Predictive Ground Proximity Warning System (PGCAS) capabilities and is expected to be incorporated into the Future Batch Enhancement (FBE) upgrade to the aircraft.
